Over Two Decades of successful UK Real Estate Investment
Bik Bhuptani and Paul Simmons founded Greenridge in 1994 to invest proprietary capital into lower-risk real estate investments.
With a particular focus on contra-cyclical investing, the business has consistently delivered outperforming returns in both stable and turbulent market environments.
Greenridge partners with investors from around the globe who want direct exposure to core-plus real estate in the UK, without the need for their own platform.
Highly experienced team
with proven expertise
Greenridge has a highly experienced team that offers 360-degree expertise: from deal origination through appraisal to structuring, execution, asset management and disposal. When you work with Greenridge you have direct access to the principals without firewalls.
Pulls the deals together
With a property career that started in the early 1980’s, Bik co-founded Greenridge with Paul in 1994. Bik generally provides “the glue” that pulls the team’s deals together – structuring, the legal aspects and generally making things happen. A particular source of pride is providing investment partners with comprehensive strategic advice that can be applied on the ground when constructing an investment portfolio. In his free time Bik is writing a vegetarian cookbook. A wine connoisseur, he also loves useful new gadgets, and experiencing new cultures.
Strategy and origination
Paul co-founded Greenridge with Bik in 1994, and has taken the lead role in devising strategy and asset origination. With over 30 years of direct property investment experience, his contacts in all areas of the real estate industry have proven instrumental in securing the business transaction flow that meets the investment objectives of Greenridge and its partners. He is also adept at finding and realising value that other investors miss.Outside work, a young family keeps him busy, but he finds time to play jazz piano, travel and enjoy wine and football.
DEEP INVESTMENT EXPERTISE
Alex brings to Greenridge a broad network of contacts and deep knowledge of the institutional investor base. A qualified Chartered Surveyor with a BSc in Land Management from Reading, he acquired extensive experience as an investor at Aviva and Kames Capital. At Kames Capital Alex bought over 40 properties for a £500m tax-efficient retail vehicle (PAIF), and he has acquired properties all over the UK, from a retail park in Wick (northern Scotland) to The Hive, an innovative development in Manchester’s thriving Northern Quarter. Away from the office, Alex plays golf, has a handicap of 6 and is a keen skier.
Modelling investment opportunities
A Maths and Accounting graduate, David is a Chartered Accountant and head of finance at Greenridge. He manages the internal accounting for Greenridge Group companies, and also models the appraisals and cash flows for individual investment transactions. A keen traveller – he is targeting Mount Kilimanjaro in 2019 – he enjoys working with Greenridge’s very international investor base. Outside work he plays tennis and keeps fit for his next big trip.
Market analysis and due diligence
After his MA in Real Estate Development, Mike joined Greenridge as an analyst. He is involved in building the pipeline of acquisitions, underwriting, due diligence and analysis of changing market conditions. He likes the opportunity to work on deals right across the UK as part of a flexible and agile team. Michael is a frequent skier, collects movie and sport memorabilia, and is a keen Arsenal fan.
Keeping the office ticking
An executive PA for nearly two decades, Ayse is approachable, calm and very organised. Having studied at the London College of Fashion, she worked in hair and beauty before spending over 15 years as an executive PA at ICAP and The Rank Group. At Greenridge, she contributes to the team spirit and the relaxed atmosphere. Outside of work she is still fascinated by fashion.
A genuine can-do approach
An executive assistant with experience of the private equity and venture capital world, Jo has been at Greenridge since 2015. A can-do person, she is a big contributor to keeping the positive Greenridge office vibe as the business expands.
